Moonen is excited to announce that the 36-metre superyacht Brigadoon has been nominated in the Boat International World Superyacht Awards 2019! Delivered to her new owners in Summer 2018, Brigadoon is the first hull in the Moonen Martinique line of Dutch-quality, oceangoing motor yachts.
This years’ awards ceremony will mark the 14th edition of the annual World Superyacht Awards hosted by Boat International and will be held from 17th – 19th May 2019. The annual event will be hosted in London this year, with previous glamorous ceremonies of the high-profile event taking place in Florence, Amsterdam and Venice.
YACHT WITH HEART & SOUL
Brigadoon is the first yacht built on the semi-custom Martinique 36-metre platform and features naval architecture by Diana Yacht Design in collaboration with Réne Van Der Velden, with the latter also undertaking her exterior design. Nauta Design is responsible for her interior design. The Moonen Martinique is one of four of Moonen’s proven superyacht platforms and combines proven performance and seakeeping abilities with the versatility of customisation.
SPACIOUS LAY-OUT
Moonen Brigadoon features sharp lines and a sleek low profile, comfort is key on this cool and contemporary motor yacht. Brigadoon has a wide body superstructure, which gives the yacht maximum interior and exterior space to enjoy and actually makes her feel like a much larger yacht. Together with a warm and comforting interior design that is flooded with natural light, she truly is a home away from home.
The impressive owner’s suite is situated on the main deck, with four spacious guest cabins and the crew area for nine crew in five cabins on the lower deck. The captain has its own cabin close to the helm on bridge deck.
Explaining some of the technical benefits of the new Moonen Martinique design, Business Development Manager, Maarten Hogeweg, explains:
“The round bilge of this displacement hull makes the yacht seaworthy and gives her a very economical fuel consumption and long range at lower speeds. Together with her exceptionally low noise and vibration levels, this well-equipped yacht gives great comfort and luxury. Moonen Yachts will build and fit out the yacht in accordance with their usual recognisable quality standards and deliver it to the principal, after extensive sea trials, in a ready-to-operate condition.”
