Moonen YN200 is the third yacht to be built on the 36-metre Martinique platform. She features exterior design by renowned Dutch designer René van der Velden, with naval architecture by Diana Yacht Design in collaboration with René van der Velden. Available for sale and scheduled for delivery August 2021, interior styling and decoration will be a close collaboration between YN200’s future owners and London-based interior designers, Studio Indigo.

A sister ship to 2019 World Superyacht Awards winner M/Y Brigadoon, YN200 is built on Moonen’s proven 36-metre Martinique platform. Feedback from Brigadoon’s owners feeds into the second model in this series, and YN200 takes the Martinique platform to new heights.

Featuring a newly-designed bimini on the sun deck, better-placed wing stations and a new foredeck seating arrangement, the Martinique model has been tweaked to provide owners with more functionality, better views and increased storage. Improvements continue inside, with redesigned cabins for guests and owner, a direct route between the captain’s cabin and the wheelhouse, and an extra day head on the bridge deck.

Wondering how the construction of YN200 is progressing? We regularly post new photos and updates.

YN200 boasts a timeless design combined with a Fast Displacement Hull Form. Her striking profile sees an innovative use of glass. An almost continuous band of large windows on the main and bridge decks offer up spectacular vistas and plenty of natural light on board.
Her exterior design pays special attention to the perfect indoor-outdoor connection, with plenty of comfortable seating and sophisticated dining areas spread over three decks. With large sliding doors, the sky lounge seamlessly connects with the bridge deck aft to create one large space with the best of both worlds.

Technical operations and handling have a minimum impact on life onboard. The 5.7-metre tender is stored below the main deck and launched through the ship’s side, while, two wave runners can be stored on the foredeck or aft bridge deck, leaving decks uncluttered and maximising usable living space. With a range of 4,000 nm at 10 knots, YN200 more than lives up to Moonen’s heritage of building quality, oceangoing yachts.

YN200’s interior design is from the drawing boards of London-based studio, Studio Indigo. A timeless yet modern design combined with a smart layout provides spacious, light and luxurious interior living. Internal areas are maximised on board, with ease of movement and vast living spaces leaving YN200 feeling significantly larger than her length suggests.

Smart panelling enables interchangeable fabrics and wallpaper, while pale, wire-brushed veneers are blended with accent materials to add colour and texture. This interior concept remains flexible to allow prospective owners to customise the interior design to personal taste.

Ideas on interior styling

“The brief was to develop the layout and architecture of the yacht to create both a timeless and sophisticated interior while maximising the feeling of space and light throughout the yacht. Integral to this was to design in flexibility to the interior architecture to allow an Owner to adapt or personalise the interior to make it feel unique to them.
Among several layout changes, Studio Indigo added another luxurious day head to the bridge deck, while the reconfigured master suite now benefits from a His & Hers bathroom, with a dramatic circular shower feature and high-level panoramic windows.
Panelling can be interchanged between fabric, leather or wallpaper, while still keeping a consistent and harmonious feeling throughout the interior spaces. Crisp, architectural shadow gaps have been carefully blended with signature curved corners to create identity and continuity throughout. Every effort has been given to modifying the internal spaces to maximise the sense of space and ease of movement, making the yacht feel significantly larger than her length suggests.”
